New stuff!

Reasons for much rejoicing today:

My copy of Mike Stone’s Fourtold arrived today in the mail, and it is a beautiful thing, even considering the grotesque yet lovable cover art. It’s a handsome book — kudos to all involved.

Also, my story “Living in Sepia” (which appeared in the In Bad Dreams antho — you’ve of course ordered this fine book already) is now live for your listening pleasure on Pseudopod — I had thought it was going to be up last week, but *shrug* maybe I misunderstood — I prefer to think of it as worth waiting for. Download it while it’s hot!

Finally, for a bit of frivolity, I have two limericks and a micro short story (55 words in all its glory) appearing in the light-hearted anthology, Strange Worlds of Lunacy, available here and here. I apologize in advance that they didn’t actually accept my dirtier, yet funnier limericks. They kept them clean, alas.

And then suddenly, more news

In Bad Dreams coverI just found out that Pseudopod has accepted and will be transmuting my story “Living in Sepia,” which appeared in the In Bad Dreams anthology, into a podcast for their site, and for your downloadable enjoyment. And I forgot to mention, I’ve been interviewed on the editing and publishing angles of my life by Mark Deniz, one of the editors of the aforementioned anthology (do you have your copy yet?)

Tumbleweeds…

Gud 2 coverNot much going on lately — issue #2 of GUD is now out and around, including my story “El Alebrije.” There’s a nice review of it up on The Fix. Other than that, I’ve had a micro micro story and a couple limericks accepted for the as-yet unnamed silly anthology coming out through the auspices of Residentail Aliens…and that’s about all. Waiting, waiting…

2 GUD

GUD is having a contest, and it’s kind of a nifty one. If you have an account (free) with them, you’re getting a free piece of work from issue 2. All you gotta do for the contest is read it and post about it somewhere (like, I dunno, teh elljay?) publicly. You can link back too if you’re so inclined. And then, you can win cool prizes!

And as an added incentive (no, really), it might even be MY story you get for free (as it’s, you know, in issue 2) — the odds aren’t terrible. And if you don’t have an account, you can sign up and have the free piece waiting for you, and again, prizes and stuff.

Anyway, the details are here, and soon I will demonstrate first-hand the talking publicly and etc., because I have an account, see, and there’s a story waiting there for me, and I want prizes.

Hey!

It would appear that you can order Issue 2 of GUD now, which includes my story and poetry from Lucy Snyder. And it’s available in print, or a downloadable version, or you can even just order the stories/poems you want (like mine or Lucy’s for example). How can you go wrong, truly?
